Violin Photography
Alan Coggins is now offering a photographic service specifically designed for violins, violas, and cellos. He can provide you with high-quality photos that are suitable for framing and display, sales and publicity, or simply as a reference for insurance purposes.
All photographs are taken digitally in a studio setting, and will be supplied on disk (in both JPG and RAW format) and also in the form of an instrument portfolio, typically comprising three A4-size prints... front body, back body, and four scroll views. Images are printed on Epson premium glossy paper using the latest UltraChrome pigment inks (currently rated lightfast for more than 100 years) and each photograph is individually protected in an archival-quality polypropylene sleeve.
The photography is normally carried out at the Blackheath workshop (you will need to allow at least a few hours per instrument). However it is also possible for Alan to travel to any suitable venue to undertake a group photo shoot, ideally consisting of at least four instruments at one time.
